Mental and emotional well-being is crucial to achieving success and living a full life with purpose and meaning. As a therapist, I am an objective person to talk to who will give you my undivided attention. We will work toward healing from distressing situations and the identification and attainment of your goals. I hope to help you become your best self through non-judgmental support and encouragement.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and have experience with 12-Step programs. Utilizing Trauma Informed Care, Solution-Focused therapy, and Person-Centered therapy, I treat chemical dependence and mental health conditions.
LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#74873) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (#13196) practicing in the state of Texas. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from Louisiana Tech University, I went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Substance Abuse Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I have provided individual and group therapy in outpatient and inpatient settings with a variety of populations, including military veterans, co-ed groups, trauma survivors, clients being monitored by licensing boards, clients within the judicial system, and clients interested in personal growth.
How long does therapy take?
Some clients may feel relief or meet their therapeutic goals in just a few sessions, while other clients may require months or years to reach psychological wellness. Those with severe mental health disorders may benefit from lifelong therapy support. You and your counselor will regularly examine your goals and evaluate your improvement. Your counselor will help you decide when it's the right time to terminate treatment, but it's always your decision to end therapy at any time for any reason.
