Life Transitions
Our journey through life presents us all with different challenges. There are times of great joy and victory and times of defeat, frustration, disruption, and loss. We are shaped by our experiences, family of origin, culture, natural temperament, available resources, and the people we choose to include in our lives. Ultimately, our chief mission in this world is to create a high quality of life despite the hardships we face.

I have worked over a decade with diverse populations, and my experience has taught me to regard each individual with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an open mind. Solutions are not always simple or obvious, so I approach therapy collaboratively with an understanding that recovery takes-shape through a process over time. I specialize in the healing of trauma, symptoms related to major mental health diagnoses, and unwanted residue from life transitions. I explore my client’s perspectives, challenge ideas that hinder progress, and help develop better responses to life struggles.
LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#61803) and have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have specialized training in domestic violence, sexual abuse, mood disorders, and those with limited resources and cultural challenges and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Mindfulness Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-focused Therapy. These techniques support a safe and comforting space to explore barriers, strengths, and tools to reach client goals.

I would be honored to take this healing journey with you when you are ready.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
