Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we can’t do it alone and need help navigating life’s challenges and struggles. I would feel privileged to partner with you to build resilience, overcome barriers, and exhibit mental toughness, even when you don’t feel tough.
Â
The struggles we face may be traced to our early childhood or to a more recent occurrence, but we can conquer any difficulties we encounter when we make a commitment to change the way we think. Often it seems an event is the cause of our unhealthy, negative emotions, but if we can learn to look at the occurrence in new and healthier ways, we can better control our feelings, solve our problems, and ultimately experience peace and fulfillment.
Â
Whatever the cause of the problems we face, I believe there’s a path to resolving them, and together, you and I will find that path. If you have the courage to confront your habits and beliefs, I am committed to providing you with a safe, respectful and encouraging environment to achieve your goals.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a native of Houston and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#17897) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Houston and a Master of Science in Social Work from University of Texas. My interest in Organizational Social Work led me to manage local and national nonprofit initiatives focused on improving student outcomes and graduation rates. My background also includes over 20 years working with schools to coordinate counseling and social work services for children and families and providing individual and group psychotherapy in a private practice setting.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
