Reaching out for help can be daunting, but I want you to know you are not alone. I am here to support you in a welcoming space where you can feel heard and understood and safe to explore your thoughts and emotions freely. As a facilitator of growth and healing, I am passionate about therapy and see our relationship as a vital partnership built on trust and open communication. With my guiding therapeutic principles rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from various evidence-based techniques to best support each client’s unique path. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. My goal is to help you think better so that you can feel better and live better. In a nurturing environment, we will work to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop adaptive coping strategies, and set achievable goals to improve your overall well-being.

Change is possible, and your current circumstances do not have to dictate your future. Together, we will work toward exploring challenges, celebrating successes, and ultimately discovering your path to fulfillment.

My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest. I have worked in settings such as an outpatient treatment facility and the Criminal Justice system, which have prepared me to work with clients suffering from a wide range of mental health problems and diagnoses.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
