Peer Relationships
Asking for help may be difficult but should be seen as a strength instead of a weakness. You’ve taken the first step in your wellness journey, and we can figure the rest out together. Connection is very important when we are struggling and getting extra support to navigate difficult transitions can help you on your life path. In an accepting, judgment-free environment, I aim to build a strong rapport in our relationship and am passionate about supporting you in overcoming your obstacles.

From a person-centered perspective, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-focused techniques, but there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Every individual experience is different, and I want to get to know your specific story so we can tailor a plan that allows you to reach your goals. Collaboratively, we can explore the problem areas in your life, determine appropriate solutions, and develop better coping strategies.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#90161) practicing in Texas. My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education from Florida A&M University. My experience includes working with individuals, families, and couples who have experienced a multitude of mental health disorders, traumas, and life concerns. In private practice and in community mental health settings, I have assisted people of all ages, including children, teens, and adults.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
