Hope will always be there for those who seek it. As your advocate, I will help you through the hard times and be a positive force to stay on track when problems arise. We will tap into your motivation and commitment toward change and help you realize the best version of yourself. I see therapy as a form of art and would love the opportunity to educate and foster genuine connection and communication.

No two clients are the same, and each client deserves their own personalized path to mental wellness. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Using Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills-based approach, I help clients develop techniques to deal with big emotions and get through everyday challenges.

LICENSE, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Â
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#106161) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston. With the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, I worked to provide services for families to keep children in their homes and in the court systems to ensure the safety of children returning to their homes or being adopted. Working at Sun Behavior Hospital in Houston, I worked directly to treat mental health concerns with adolescent populations. My focus and where I thrive has been on healing individuals and families from the long-term effects of trauma.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
