Emotional Disturbance
Despite the challenges we face or the deficits we carry, we all have inherent strengths and gifts that we can use to become the version of ourselves we most want to be. You don’t have to feel trapped or stuck anymore. We are more than the total sum of our problems, and we can emerge from beneath our struggles.
Â
Success in psychotherapy is most influenced by the quality of the therapeutic rapport between the client and the therapist. I partner with my clients to create a safe and objective environment, free of judgment and truly just for them. My therapeutic style is relational, humanistic, strengths-based, and framed in psychodynamic and empowerment theories. I meet each individual where they are, uncover their story, develop new curiosity, and honor their sacred, inner world. Deeply rooted in empathy, respect, and positive regard, I hope to help you build a path away from suffering toward healing and freedom.
Â
Although your therapy journey may be challenging, you don’t have to make it alone. The arc of progress in our work may be long at times, but it tends to bend towards recovery and healing. Change is possible, and there is a way out for you.

LICENSE, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Â
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#103575) in Texas and earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Baylor University. Before working in private practice, I started my career in fellowship in residential substance use treatment and then shifted to work in an intensive outpatient program. I have treated individuals, couples and families and greatly enjoy facilitating psychodynamically oriented group work.
Outside of my career, I am married with two kids and a working musician.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
