My goal is to help you recognize your strengths and feel empowered to overcome your difficulties. I find it helpful to keep therapy structured and regularly use tools and handouts to help individuals clarify their struggles, redirect thought, and hone-in on areas of improvement. I also find it beneficial to share my own experiences and the techniques that have helped me along the way in my journey.

​I am trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and find it to be the most helpful approach in my work with clients of all ages. CBT is goal-oriented and focuses individuals on what they want to achieve.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#71201) in the state of Texas and offer therapy to clients in both English and Spanish. As a graduate of the University of Texas Brownsville, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance. I have worked in mental health for the past 14 years and have practiced as a therapist for 7 years. My experience includes working with children, teens, adults, and the elderly in community health clinics and a local psychiatric hospital.
