LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#67783) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (#11475) in the state of Texas. My education includes a bachelor’s degree in history from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a master’s degree in professional counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. I completed my internship at Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center, where I benefited from excellent supervision and guidance in the treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders. I was a case manager and program therapist with the Young Adult Program (ages 18-24) and also in the Day Intensive Outpatient Program, and I also served as a counselor at a men’s shelter, the Open Door Mission.

I enjoy reading, traveling, running and backpacking with my wife.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling
What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
