Life can be difficult. Sometimes these difficulties can start to weigh heavy and limit our abilities to see clearly, make decisions, and manage our daily life. It becomes clear that something needs to change, but finding the right place to start can be a challenge. I am here to help you untangle the mess and work toward healing and self-discovery.

I am a therapist driven by a passion for helping others navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strength and resiliency. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that each individual possesses the fortitude to overcome adversity. I aim to foster self-acceptance and personal growth and create an environment free from judgment where you can safely explore your emotions and experiences. I look to thoroughly examine the ‘issue’ that brought you in, closely pay attention to patterns, and understand your full story. With warmth and compassion, I’ll act as a guide and use my intuition and optimism to challenge you in the places you may be stuck.

I would feel privileged to be a part of your journey and would be dedicated in providing you with compassion and support. If you are ready to take steps toward healing, I am here to walk this path with you. I'm glad you’re here.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

My journey began at San Diego State University, where I pursued my undergraduate degree in Sociology and developed a deep fascination with the complexities of human behavior and emotions. I continued my education at Alliant International University where I earned my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. After becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#205031), I’ve worked with teens and adults in private practice and nonprofit agencies honing my therapeutic skills and cultivating a strong foundation of empathetic care.

I have developed a profound passion for clinical supervision and learned quickly that effective leadership relies on clear and compassionate guidance. In my past experience mentoring associate-level clinicians, I created a conducive environment for clinicians to openly engage in self-reflection and learn from both successes and setbacks. As the Clinical Director for The Resilience Center of Houston - Cypress, I partner with fellow therapists and offer them support to flourish in their professional paths. Working alongside a team of passionate and skilled individuals creates an endless opportunity for collective growth and the exchange of knowledge.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
